FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SQUARE1 Accepting Applications for Next Velocity Small Business Growth Accelerator.
Deadline for applications September 21st, Classes starts in October at Gateway CTC in Covington.
Covington, KY – SQUARE1’s Velocity program has graduated 24 companies who have experienced double-digit revenue growth since completing the program. SQUARE1 is seeking revenue-generating companies looking for new tools, resources, and connections enabling them to become million-dollar companies.
Velocity provides a 10-week business development platform that sharpens an entrepreneur’s focus on opportunities and practices to overcome key obstacles to growth. Graduates have improved efficiencies, sharpened strategies, improved sales and marketing, and transformed their business’s potential.
The platform engages successful business owners and subject matter experts in 10 weekly workshops and conversations to directly impact our participants’ bottom line. Graduates have increased sales by 81% leading to nearly $19 million in revenue among the 24 companies.
Participants benefit from a variety of tools and resources including an Industry Benchmarking Report made available through our partnership with the NKU Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The NKU SBDC and other partners will guide companies toward funding opportunities, new strategies, and tools proven effective in growing businesses.
“No matter the type of company an entrepreneur is running the program has proven beneficial” explains Keith Schneider, SQUARE1’s President. He continues, “we have IT companies, arts, cleaning, marketing, consulting, logistics, software/app developers, and many other B2B companies graduate and reach another level of success.”
Throughout the program, participants will have opportunities to network with and be coached by procurement professionals with the program culminating in a Pitch Day that includes an audience purposefully stocked with potential customers.
Accepted companies will meet for 60-minutes each week followed by 30 minutes to network with speakers/experts, course mates, and potential customers. Weekly topics range from sales, marketing, and social media to technology, finance, funding, and strategy.
“As a business owner, I am always looking for ways to enhance our culture and how we operate internally, and what image is being conveyed by our organization externally,” says Vincent Williams, a partner at Orchestrate Technologies. He adds “this program has provided additional leadership perspectives, business resources, and guidance at a critical time for our business as we’ve navigated through that continued growth.”
Graduates from the program have gone on to earn five-figure state contracts, close new contracts through relationships built during the program, and acquire capital to support their growth.
Companies ready for this next level of growth can learn more and apply at https://startatsquare1.com by September 21st. Classes will take place at Gateway Community and Technical College’s Center for Technology, Innovation, and Enterprise in Covington, KY beginning in October.
